About Campbellstone Antiques
Campbellstone Antiques is family-owned and operated in West Bloomfield, NY. We have been passionate about building restoration and preservation for over 20 years.  Our interest and expertise in period antiques and custom floorcovering started with our own restoration project for our ca.1835 home, and then extended into a neighboring 1841 cobblestone building.  We are always looking to help others find that special piece or solution for their own historic or contemporary home.

Our services in the historic preservation field include paint analysis, sourcing for interior design elements of historic homes, and floor design.

Alicia spent a full year learning and practicing paint analysis at the Frank S. Welsh Company, and over 10 years refining her skills through local projects and research. She has been designing and creating floorcloths for over 10 years and expanding her work to include painting on wood floors as well as canvas.  Additionally she has been collecting and restoring antique furniture for 20+ years.  Because of the cobblestone restoration, cobblestone masonry repair has become an added skill!

About our building
Our cobblestone  building was built in 1841 as the county's insurance company.  The names E.A. Hall, R. Peck, and A. Martin are still visible on the marble inlaid plaque above the front door.  The front of the building has extremely fine and small stones with 8 courses per limestone quoin.
Not only is this building significant in its cobblestone construction, but as a historical landmark to the West Bloomfield village. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries this building has served as an insurance company, post office, general store, beauty parlor, dairy bar, and antique shop.  It is one of the few buildings that make up the small business district.
The Campbell family spent over 8 years carefully restoring the structure to preserve and share its distinctive character.  It is now listed on the National Historic Register of historic places.

Below are some "before and after" pictures that show some of the progress!
